Christian was born and raised in Tacloban City Philippines. Christian, together with his son Echan Rafael and his wife Raquel are Survivors of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). Christian with the support of his team is working hard to help fellow Taclobanons to get back on their feet by providing the support outlined in Ph.HungryGeeks.org Mission Statement.

As a Graphic Artist: Christian has a 7 years foundation of knowledge for Large Format Design, Logos, Banners, T-shirts and Souvenir Designs. Christian taught his Father Ruben Brillo to do Silk Screen printing and started a small T-shirt Printing Business in San Jose, Tacloban. To assist his Father he taught his Brother Jonathan Brillo to do Graphic Design for T-shirt Printing. Christian designed and created his own Photographic Silkscreen Tools that his Father used for 4 years until Typhoon Yolanda took it all away.

As an Instructor: Christian was an Instructor for Cyber Systems where he taught basic computer operations and desktop publishing. Christian believes that knowledge is a treasure worth sharing and that his knowledge grows every time he takes a piece and shares it with others.

As a Hardware Technician: In 2010 Christian expanded his knowledge with an accreditation in Computer Hardware Servicing NCII from TESDA and passed the TESDA NCII accreditation that same year. This knowledge allowed Christian to be involved in computer hardware repair and installation, small format and large format printer repair and configuration, networking and troubleshooting

As a Web Designer/Developer: Armed with the foundational knowledge of graphic design and layout, HTML and CSS, Christian and his team mastered WordPress and Joomla as their CMS tools of choice for website development.

As a Member of Ph.HungryGeeks.org: With all the technical knowledge and skills Christian has learned, he seeks to share his knowledge with his fellow Taclobanons. He believes that technology most especially Internet access should reach all people no matter what their social and economic status is in the community. Christian believes that with the use of technology people gain more expertise to assist their chosen career paths. Most of all Christian believes that Internet access should be available to all the people around the world to empower an online workforce. Towards this goal, Christian and his team’s challenge began in Tacloban City, Philippines.

“Learn, Grow and Share… Life is too short to hoard knowledge. It’s time to Learn, it’s time to Grow and it’s time to Share. Let’s make the world a better place!” – Christian Brillo
