Christian Brillo

Christian Brillo obtained a license to use Ph.HungryGeeks.org Philippines and heads up a team of “Best of Breed” Hungry Geeks that provides technical services to Clients around the world.

Christian was born and raised in Tacloban City, Philippines. After Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) Christian, his wife Raquel and son Echan Rafael moved to Lapu Lapu City Cebu. Raquel and Christian gave birth to their daughter Eyana Rhaine in Cebu.

Christian led the Hungry Geeks’ team to assist Taclobanons to get back on their feet after Yolanda which included working with providers to deploy TV White Space to allow communications into Tacloban. As Survivors of Typhoon Yolanda, the team’s focus turned to Modern Farming, Nutrition and work-from-home opportunities.

As a Graphic Artist: Christian has a 7 years foundation of knowledge for Large Format Design, Logos, Banners, T-shirts and Souvenir Designs. Christian taught his Father Ruben Brillo to do Silk Screen printing and started a small T-shirt Printing Business in San Jose, Tacloban. To assist his Father he taught his Brother Jonathan Brillo to do Graphic Design for T-shirt Printing. Christian designed and created his own Photographic Silkscreen Tools to expand his knowledge and passed on those tools and knowledge to his Father and siblings.

As a Project Manager: Christian has project managed many custom applications utilizing the following programming languages and project management tools: Basecamp, Freedcamp, Wrike, Lucid Charts, Java, JavaScript, C++, PHP, .NET and SQL. He also manages BPO services like PVA, Data Entry, Transcription, Architectural Design, etc. Developed market trading algorithms, indexes and strategy.

As a Hardware Technician: In 2010 Christian expanded his knowledge with an accreditation in Computer Hardware Servicing NCII from TESDA and passed the TESDA NCII accreditation that same year. This knowledge allowed Christian to be involved in computer hardware repair and installation, small format and large format printer repair and configuration, networking and troubleshooting.

As a Web Designer/Developer: Armed with the foundational knowledge of graphic design and layout, HTML and CSS, WordPress and DiVi are Hungry Geeks’ CMS tools of choice for website development. Through Hungry Geeks’ LEGS (Learn, Earn, Grow, Share) program Hungry Geeks provides Seminars on WordPress 101 and beyond teaching Fillipinos how to work-from-home.

As an Instructor/Speaker: Christian was an Instructor for Cyber Systems where he taught basic computer operations and desktop publishing. Christian also is the speaker at many Seminars introducing Hungry Geeks Philippines Incorporated – NGO, work-from-home opportunities, Modern Farming and Nutrition. Christian believes that knowledge is a treasure worth sharing and that his knowledge grows every time he takes a piece and shares it with others.

As the Chairman of Hungry Geeks: With all the technical knowledge and skills Christian has learned combined with his passion to share with others, Christian’s leadership and management style reflects his beliefs. Hungry Geeks believes Internet access should be available to all people no matter what their social and economic status to empower an online worldwide workforce. Towards this goal, Hungry Geeks’ challenge began in Tacloban City, Philippines.

As a Modern Farmer: Christian supports modern farming, he attended numerous seminars/webinars to expand his knowledge regarding Aquaponics, Hydroponics, Vertical Farming and Indoor Farming. He freely shares his knowledge. He designed his own version of a Vertical Grow Tower which is built from Bamboo and given to the poor. Under Christian’s direction medical students researched and created comprehensive databases of Medicinal Plants for the Philippines and India.
