Mr. Jim Cabalona

Jim is a hard working young man, a father of 3 kids and has a talent of turning negative outlooks in life into a positive one. Jim believes that mistakes help make us learn and grow and that we should not be afraid to make them because we learn from them. Jim always takes what he learns and freely shares it with others.

Jim works for Mr. Christain Brillo as a PHP Programmer and is a member of Christian’s unique Team of “best of breed” Contractors who provide technical services to US Clients.

Jim’s formal education and experience is a Programmer with a Computer Science background with some knowledge of hardware. Jim also worked as a Computer Instructor in various schools in Tacloban and even earned the National Certificate IV – Programming Certification as TESDA certified trainer. It is said that “it takes two to tango” and in developing websites there is always a design and functionality involved, Jim makes these websites come alive through PHP, MYSQL and JQUERY as his tools of choice.

Jim is a proud member of Ph.HungryGeeks.org. Jim teaches fellow Hungry Geeks how to use PHP and Jquery to create websites that are beyond the basics. Jim also enjoys teaching his kids and friends to play the Freerice Game where they can learn and help feed the hungry.

MISSION STATEMENT

• Use free online education and entertainment applications to attract Site Visitors and Members of different organizations to help feed hungry people – HungryGeeks.org is a proud supporter of www.FreeRice.com.
• To provide free knowledge and training to Students, Out of School Youths (OSY) and Seniors in the areas of technology and communications.
• Assist in providing online job opportunities through HungryGeeks.com.
• Support local economies through promotion of Member Internet Cafes for Students, OSY and Seniors to have a place to learn, grow and work online.

Hungry Geeks are hungry to learn, hungry to please and hungry to earn money to assist their pursuit of higher education.
